- Our flagship product, Inspect Evals, is world-leading and globally recognised. It is used extensively across the field, including by organisations such as NIST, Hugging Face, Epoch AI, and the EU AI Office
- We are specialists in evaluating the tools used for measuring AI risks, and we’ve begun publishing audits that hold the field accountable and educate researchers on best practices.
Position description:
Overview: we’re looking for a generalist with a “founder” mindset, ideally with experience working in a high-performance startup environment, and with a mix of technical, commercial, operations, and management experience
Responsibilities:
- This role will involve all types of work: IT, finance, marketing, recruitment, compliance, onboarding contractors, project/product management - functions which the CEO currently performs, but which can ideally be delegated to expand leadership capacity
- You will also:
- Own key projects, including establishing a new legal entity and spinning off from our current parent organisation
- Refine our organisational systems, either automating or removing BAU processes which introduce friction
- As the organisation grows, the HSO can take on more leadership responsibilities or specialise in a particular area of interest.

You’re an excellent fit for this role if you also:
- Have a STEM background and research experience (e.g. PhD or similar)
- Have experience as a software engineer or technical product manager
- Previously founded a start-up and have experience building a product, team and sales pipeline from scratch
- Have strong visual design skills
